It’s nearly that time of year where we celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters, that occasion is Raksha Bandhan. You can read about why Raksha Bandhan is celebrated (and download a free colouring page) HERE so i won’t repeat myself. This year I thought I’d put together a gift guide for the occasion since i released these badges, magnets and keyrings in my shop myself.
Why should i buy a gift?
Well, you don’t need to buy a gift but it might be nice to remember the day by. It doesn’t have to be expensive or elaborate, a handmade or small inexpensive gift can hold sentimental value and that’s SO much better than anything money can buy.
What kind of gift should i buy?
Although money is always appreciated, the kind of gift totally depends on what your sibling likes/dislikes. Do they have hobbies like reading, art, cooking/eating, gym etc. Think of something that they’re likely use or enjoy. Also, a gift doesn’t necessarily have to be physical, you could get together for a nice meal and spend time bonding and catch up.
Gift Ideas…
I’ve put together a some gift ideas below that i think would make awesome Raksha Bandhan gifts for brothers or sisters.
- Accessories – keyrings, magnets and badges
- Raksha Bandhan cards
- Super Sister mug
- Brother mug
- Emoji mug
- Bear Hugs gift box
- Barfia mithai box
- Custom chocolates
- Funky socks
- Thums up t-shirt
- Shabash t-shirt
As well as these awesome gifts, you could also opt for experience days, a meal cooked by yourself or a lovely day out with all the family – this is especially if you have kids and they can also get to spend time with each other. Also, if you’re struggling to think of what to write in Raksha Bandhan cards, i got that covered too HERE.
Hope you have a lovely day celebrating!
Love, Dina x
