Don't know where today went, but it went fast! Sp Don't know where today went, but it went fast! Spent the morning printing and pressing coasters for my customers plus wholesale, then did. Some emails (i still have a couple to get through), then packed orders and put away some stock and finally ended the day with testing out a new product 🤗🤗🤗

I'm back in the office on Friday so I'm hoping to do some more testing again, might even give you a sneaky peek...

I can't choose... I showed a tiger illustration on I can't choose...
I showed a tiger illustration on my stories about 2 weeks ago and I've been working on the colour way but I just can't decide what I prefer.

I do kinda like the simple red background and black line version, should I try this in a different colour? Also, I removed the border on the last version and I like this better as the tigers stand out more. Anyway... feedback please thank you ok bye ✌🏽✨️

What do gujaratis do when the sun comes out? Make What do gujaratis do when the sun comes out?
Make papad (poppadoms) and papdi (similar to poppadoms but crispier; more like rice flour crackers).

There's a whole process in the making from boiling tapioca pearls in spiced water to make a dough, to aking chunky pattys which are steamed, then kneading and rolling. After which all the rolled papads must be set out to dry in the sun until they are fully dried. Only after this can thetly be heated and eaten.

Last 2 photos taken from the Pinterest shows one after they're dried and then fried.

I was thinking about how this will probably be a lost tradition because am I ever going to make them myself? Probably not. People do make the steamed dough just to eat which is called Khichi. It is yum and i know @sanjana.feasts has a recipe for this but will I do the rolling and drying...

Anyway, this has been my Saturday so far... I'm on turning duty as the rolled papads need turning so they dry evenly in the sun, better get flipping... 😂

Here's me slapping on my branded stickers to the backs of the coasters which states cleaning care and socials because even your silly little pun coaster deserves proper care 💖

It's that time of year where we're reminded of Men It's that time of year where we're reminded of Mental Health Awareness week and getting better at taking care of ourselves and our mental health. This years focus is Community.

"Being part of a safe, positive community is vital for our mental health and wellbeing. We thrive when we have strong connections with other people and supportive communities that remind us, we are not alone. Communities can provide a sense of belonging, safety, support in hard times, and give us a sense purpose."

Being from a South Asian household, mental health is not a thing that's talked about, I mean I don't even know if it's a thing that exists in my parents world back then and event today. They were told to just shut off any feelings and get on with life. There was no talking or discussing or feelings.

Growing up, i was never told or shown how to express my feelings or struggles. Even today, as an adult, I do sometimes find it hard to open up and ask for help but I now have the tools to deal with my own mental health and I also have close friends I am able to reach out to if I need help without being judged.

I'm not ashamed to admit I've had my share of therapy and counselling but you know what's even better and helps more than that, is being able to talk to someone you know.

Having a friend or two you can turn to is really importing because it helps you feel less alone. They can help you so much by just listening and being there for you: maybe with hugs, snacks and even a little 'it will be ok'. I'm so lucky to have 2 of the bestest friends i can talk to without being judged and am able to be myself and open up and get the support i need from them.

Anyway, this is your reminder to reach out to those who are close to you and remind them you're always there to support them.
