Shiny New Website Launch

You may or may not have noticed my website has been down for the last 3-4 weeks. Why? Because I accidentally broke it and couldn’t fix it again. But, now it’s fixed so we an all be happy again yayyyy.

The old website was OK, but it was holding me back a lot, on for example it wasn’t mobile friendly or a start, I couldn’t link my newsletter without needing someone to code it and a load of other things. It needed updating but I just didn’t have the time so when it broke, blessing in disguise possibly, it wasn’t the ideal time but is there ever?

So what’s new?

The new website is built using WordPress. I’ve not used it before, so it was all a bit daunting to begin with but once I got the hang of how it worked and it’s features, it’s a lot easier to manage. There are so many things I still want to update but it’s mostly refreshing some images, the main thing is it’s up and running.

There’s are some big improvements and new things too, for example:

Mobile Friendly
Yes it’s been a long time coming but the new wesite is so much better and easier to use and shop via your mobile, FINALLY!

Wishlist
You can now make a wishlist an add things to save for a later date to purchase – how cute!

Calendar
This will keep you up to date with events which I’m taking part in as well as once to keep in your diary such as valentines, mother’s/father’s day, rakhi day and Diwali etc.

Better/Easier Navigation
You can see products more clearly and it’s easier to find your way around the new website!

Newsletter
I’ve managed to link my newsletter directly to my website and it’s neater and more visible which means you’ll be getting lot more actual news. I’ve also updated Interviews and features in the footer so you can see what I’ve been up to.

So that’s about it really. I know it’s probably not a big deal for everyone else but man I’ve put some blood, sweat, tears and long days into this thing so I really hope you guys like it. There have been days where i have totally wanted to give up on it all and have a breakdown but then something small works and all is well again.

I do expect teething problems, as there usually is with these things, so just let me know if you experience any difficulties. Also, if there’s anything you think I could do to make it even better then just let me know.
