Christmas Gift Guide For Creatives

As a creative person, I feel that we are one of the easiest groups of people to buy for when it comes to Christmas gifting. We’ll take anything from a one of those multi coloured pens (which are around £1), to a fancy shmancy tablet or printer (which would probably cost A LOT) so we’re good on all budgets.

If you are struggling to buy for someone who is also creative, here’s my fave gifts for them…and if Santa is reading this, here’s my list 🙂

1. She Knew She Could Print £5.95
Personally, any of Veronical Dearly’s prints would be awesome on any workspace wall but this is my fave. Any print that is motivational and inspiring would be a great gift for a designer or artist.

The Positivity Kit by Lisa Curie £9.01
This book is great for doodling moment, or when we have inspiration blocks. It’s full of engaging prompts that focus on the good things in life, and is guaranteed to cheer anyone cheer up. It includes prompts like making a grateful list, drawing yourself a tattoo on paper, and listing 30 ways to spend an hour of free time.

Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pens £10.50
We can NEVER have enough pens. I have quite a collection myself but I will always buy more especially if they write all nice and smooth and make my writing look nice when I try them 🙂

Subscription to art supplies by ArtSnacks £dependant on subscription type
OMG I came across this art supbscription box a while ago and I’d totally forgotten about it until now…you get to try out all kinds of products that maybe you wouldn’t usually and I think that’s brilliant for any budding artist! This is deffinaltely one I’ll be trying in the new year…

Wacom Cintiq Pro £1500-£2000
I currently have a Wacam Bamboo tablet which I’ve had for about 3 years. Before that I had one that cost a tenner from a supermarket and I couldn’t fault it at all adn it lasted me a good 5 years and did all I wanted it to. Graphics tablets come in all prices so you can find one cheaper. The Cintiq is one that I’ve got my eye on just because I draw directly onto the computer and feel this would make it easier, and it looks nice too.

Papermate Original Flair Pen 14 Pack £6.50
UGH, again, pens… this time coloured ones, they make our work all bright and colourful and make packaging up orders all pretty. There’s loads of offers on differed brands but I do like these Papermate ones.

Creative minds are rarely tidy mug £9.80
An inprirational and funny mug. Creatives start the day with coffee (or tea) and lots of it. It helps up stay away and our brains kinda focussed on the one idea we’re working on rather than the 10 million we have floating around out heads.

Acid Yellow Angled Desk Lamp by THE FOREST & CO £65
A desk lamp is a must for these dark nights and this yellow one is so cool! We have late nights working, quite often, so we need something that will brighten our workspace and keep us going when we’re in that creative mindset, even if its 2am in the morning!

DSLR Camera £-
You don’t necessarily NEED a fancy camera but it helps if you have to take product shots, it makes editing so much easier I can tell you. For any creative, a good camera would be a godsend and they can get snap happy for blog or products photos, as well as a tonne of selfies, obviously for business purposes.

1000 COLOURS Jigsaw Puzzle around £42
I’m a bit of a geek, I love a good jigsaw, I feel like I can empty my mind of worries and stresses. This 1000 colours jigsaw must be the hardest though, uses the CMYK colour gamut and would look so cool once finished and stuck in a frame on the wall.

A Passion Planner £28
For anyone that hasn’t yet got their 2017 diary, this is perfect, it has great space for notes and doodles etc which you don’t get in all diaries. It’s great for planning business meetings/fairs and keeping track of a creative (or other) business.

Other gifts…
Notebooks /sketchpads – we can never have enough of them!
Paints / pastels / pencils…
Fuel – Coffee / tea subscriptions
Wall calendar
Magazine subscriptions – Molly Makes, Creative Arts, Oh Comely etc

What creative gifts are on your wishlist this year?
