Why does the weekend fly by so quickly? I’m already looking forward to the next one just to get some rest and also work on a few things that have been half finished.
The AYBWeekender was awesome, it’s the first time I’ve taken part in a High Street event like this and I loved it. The atmosphere and the buzz with all other businesses taking part is just amazing, everyone encouraging each other and helping out.
Both days were busy but sales wise Sunday was better for me as I guess more people are coming into town to relax ans have a wonder around the shops whereas Saturday was people trying to just get jobs done. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I loved it.
All the businesses that took part had services or products to offer on the day. The following people were involved if you want to check them out:
Common Scents – with gorgeous bath bombs, candles and smelly things. I did a little swap with Diwali cards so I could try out the incense sticks and cones, they smell gorgeous.
Hashtagym – this is a new gym opening at the end of October in Hamilton, Leicester. They were giving out 7 day passes and I NEED to get back into the gym – you know how it is, get that summer bod in the winter and all!
Just Born Art – they take beautiful professional photographs of your new born within the first few days.
Platinum Sounds – who provided entertainment on the day as well which we all bopped along to and sang our little hearts out. They provide entertainment for all kinds of events from music, fireworks and light shows to decor and much more!
Ultimate Gifts For All – soft toys for the kids or loved ones this was the perfect time to grab some bargains and early Christmas shop.
Accelerate Yourself – Ricky, who set up the event, helps businesses grow and develop so if you were looking to set up yourself or wanted advice, he was the one to talk to.
Phoenix Face Painting – I so missed out on getting my face painted by this lovely lady 🙁 Oh well, next time! She did lovely shimmery glittery face painting in an array of designs on the day and the kids loved it!
That’s all for now. I don’t have any more events planned as yet but you never know as it heads towards Christmas…
