Diwali is like an Indian version of Christmas. A time of year celebrated with family and friends where cards and gifts are sent/received and lots of food is eaten! New clothes are worn and extra effort is made to visit or call those we haven’t seen or spoken to in a while. Homes are decorated and lit up with diya (candles) in the evening to bring love, luck and light in for the new year.
If you don’t get the chance to see family or friends over the year, use this opportunity to let them know you love them and are thinking of them. Arrange a get together or update them on any recent news that they may not have heard along with sending love, light and good wishes. The messages don’t have to be lengthy, just more thoughtful is always nice. Below are my some of my favourite Diwali messages…
Peace, prosperity and good fortune…May they all be with you in the coming year. Happy Diwali!
Wishing you brightness in your heart and home this Diwali.
Sending you beautiful colourful wishes this Diwali, may your year be filled with love, light, wealth and good health. Happy Diwali.
Hope this Diwali brings you every joy and blessing. Happy Diwali.
